How to activate a gift card (Desk 5000 / Move 5000)

To activate a gift card on a Desk 5000 or Move 5000, open the GIFT menu, select 1 – Activation, enter the amount to load, swipe or key in the card number, then take the customer’s payment.

  • Applies to: Ingenico Desk 5000, Move 5000
  • You’ll need: the gift card

How do I activate and load a gift card?

  1. Press the GIFT menu from second page of home screen (or press Enter and select 4 – Gift)
  2. Select 1 – Activation
  3. Enter amount to load
  4. Press Green Enter
  5. Swipe or Key in the gift card #
  6. Choose payment type (how is the customer paying to load the gift card): Credit, Debit or Cash

    If loading by Credit / Debit Card: swipe/insert/tap credit/debit card and press Enter and follow prompts

    Receipt will print

  7. Choose to print customer copy: 1 – Yes or 2- No
