Common questions

How do I turn off or restart a Move 5000?

These settings have no power-off option. To reboot, press and hold the Yellow and # keys. To power off, disconnect the terminal from its power source (see the restart and power guide). A wireless terminal can also be power cycled, as the connection troubleshooting guide explains: press yellow and .,#* keys together for a few seconds until it powers off, then press and hold the green button to power back on. On the Move 5000, the SleepTimer and ShutdownTimer under 2 – Term HW also control when it sleeps or shuts down.

How do I put my business name on the home screen?

Use 3 – IdleMsg and enter your company name as the idle message. By default it says Elavon.

Why does my Move 5000 screen go dark or switch off?

That’s set by 2- SleepTimer (seconds until it sleeps) and 3- ShutdownTimer (minutes until it shuts down) under 2 – Term HW. Motion Wake Up and Touch Wake Up control how it wakes.
