How to redeem a gift card (Desk 5000 / Move 5000)
To redeem a gift card on a Desk 5000 or Move 5000, open the GIFT menu, select 2 – Redemption, enter the amount and have the customer swipe the gift card.
How do I redeem a gift card?
Use this to process a sale using available funds on a gift card.
- Press the GIFT menu from second page of home screen (or press Enter and Select 4 – Gift)
- Select 2 – Redemption
- Enter amount and press green button Enter
- Pass terminal to customer
- Customer to confirm amount: 1 – Yes or 2 – No
- Customer to swipe gift card
- Redemption Approved message will appear on screen – press enter
- Receipt will print
- Choose to print customer receipt: 1 – Yes or 2- No
