Common questions
How do I set up WiFi on a Desk 5000?
This guide lists WiFi for the Move 5000 only. The Desk 5000 options here are Ethernet and Dial. If you’re not sure which connection your terminal has, contact Cartis at 1-888-712-0770.
What does a Coms Priority number like 340 mean?
Each digit is a connection type, in order: 4 is WiFi, 3 is GPRS (mobile data), 2 is IP and 0 is no backup. So 340 is Mobile Data first, WiFi as backup, then none.
Do I need to tell Cartis if I change the comms priority?
Yes, if it’s different from how the terminal was shipped. Let our support team know so the file can be rebuilt to match the terminal change. You can reach Cartis at 1-888-712-0770 or support@cartispayments.com.
