How to turn the keypad sound on or off (Desk 5000 / Move 5000)
To turn the keypad sound (key beep) on or off on a Desk 5000 or Move 5000, open the admin menu and go to Setup Menu, Term Settings, Term HW, then KeyBeep. Choose All Off to stop the beep, All On to turn it back on.

How do I turn the keypad beep on or off?
Start from the terminal’s main screen.
- Press ADMIN or .,#*
- If prompted enter password, press Enter
- Select 3 - Setup Menu
- Select 6 - Term Settings
- Select 2 - Term HW
- Select 1 - KeyBeep
- Select your choice: 1 - All Off, 2 - All On, 3 - Invalid Only
Common questions
How do I mute the beep completely?
At the last step, select 1 - All Off. To bring the sound back, follow the same steps and select 2 - All On.
How do I turn the terminal itself off?
